The primary goal for all Christians is the increasing ability to know the grace and mercy of God through 
the redemptive work shown to us by His Son and empowered by the Holy Spirit. As believers it should be our desire to grow in the understanding of God's love for us and our daily expression of our love to Him.
"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"
Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment." Matthew 22:36 - 38
Key Statement: As a maturing follower of Christ, I know that God loves me and I will express my love biblically to him daily.
All Christians, as they continue to mature, must purpose to grow in their understanding and participation in Biblical Community. Christianity is based on relationships 1) with God and 2) with Each Other. The fullness of God's idea of relationships is our love in Him expressed to one another as the body of Christ.
"And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" Matthew 22:39
Key Statement: As a maturing follower of Christ, I am committed to biblical community.
All Christians are mandated to the mission of being a witness of their faith in lifestyle, actions, and in words. As believers, we must be committed to the great commission to go and share the good news of the gospel to a lost and dying world. Furthermore, we should recognize that acts of compassion speak our faith in action.
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Matthew 9:36
