Child Dedication

Frequently Asked Questions

Congratulations on your desire to dedicate your child to the Lord! Your family at Cucamonga Christian Fellowship and I are so excited about this wonderful step in your family's life and are looking forward to partnering with you in this important matter.

Child dedication is an incredible opportunity for parents to express their great love and gratitude to God for the gift of their child and to publicly declare and demonstrate their obedience and desire to raise their child to be a follower of Christ.

We believe it is one of many great steps in your child's faith journey and we as a church are not only excited about celebrating this day with you, but we are also excited to partner with you as your child grows - working together to give them every opportunity to say "yes" to Jesus and make a personal decision in the future to be baptized.

At Cucamonga Christian Fellowship, we dedicate children from birth to age 4 at any of our weekend celebrations.

We would prefer that requests for dedications be made at least a month in advance and every attempt will be made to accommodate those requests. Our goal is to limit dedications to one family per service and we ask for flexibility whenever possible. You can contact Pastor Kelly Roth to discuss possible dates for a baby/child dedication.

Private appointments with the pastor are NOT necessary prior to a baby/child dedication ceremony. But IF you feel you have lots of questions concerning the significance of this event, OR you feel you cannot honestly answer "yes" to ALL the questions you will be asked OR if you have questions about how a baby dedication is different than an infant baptism, please feel free to call the church office and talk with Pastor Kelly.

The Child Dedication Application is to be submitted to the church office on or before the 2 weeks prior to the scheduled Child Dedication service.

We are excited about this great step in the life of your family toward being all that you can be for Christ. I look forward to our time together and believe for great things in your child's faith journey.

Loving Jesus, Loving You,
Pastor Fraser
