Child Protective ServicesFoster & Kinship Youth Sports Faire
CCF partners with the San Bernardino County’s Annual Foster & Kinship Youth Sports Faire held every year in June. Volunteers are needed to be mentors in football, baseball, softball, dance/cheer, basketball and soccer. Our volunteers assist with registration, food service, runners/rovers and much more. Planning begins in September and continues through June. This is a great way to partner with the Children and Family Services Department that serves the children in our community!
What you can do: volunteer, solicit donations, pray for the children, the social workers and the event.
Backpack Campaign
Join us for the annual Children & Family Services (formerly CPS) Backpack Campaign in July as we gather backpacks and school supplies for the foster children in our community. Many times, they do not have adequate tools to start school with, so CCF has partnered with CFS since 2000 to provide what they need. We need your help!
What you can do: donate backpacks and supplies, solicit items from local businesses, work at the missions tables to give out information and receive backpacks, pray for the children and the campaign to be successful.
Christmas Stars
CCF believes that the stars in our community are the children. Every year CCF partners with the Children & Family Services Department (formerly CPS) to bless foster children in our community with Christmas gifts. Look for the Christmas tree in the main hallway in November and December with stars on it and adopt a child to purchase a gift for. This is a great way to bring Christ’s love in a practical way to a precious child on Christmas.
What you can do: Adopt a star and purchase a gift, help decorate the tree, solicit gifts or funds from local businesses, recruit friends and family to participate, work at the missions table to sign stars out and receive gifts, pray for the children and the givers.
Hope for Troubled Lives
Clothing Bin
CCF has partnered with Hope For Troubled Lives Clothing Ministry. The
clothing bin is located on the North West side of the building for clothing
donations. This ministry provides CCF clothing vouchers to give to those in need who come to CCF for help with provision.
What you can do: Bring your gently used clothing to the clothing bin and ask others to do the same.
Boxes of Love
CCF partners with Canning Hunger to provide Boxes of Love at Thanksgiving for needy families across southern CA. Each box contains the ingredients for a full meal for Thanksgiving. CCF filled 150 boxes in 2005.
What you can do: Fill a box (or 2, 3, 4), get your neighborhood to do it with you, take a few boxes to work and get coworkers involved, contact your child's school and ask them to partner.
