Why We do What We Do

CCF Food & Homeless Ministry

Every first Sunday of the month (typically when we have Communion), CCF will receive a special "offering" of canned food, socks, and blankets to be used to care for the homeless in our community. Food in pop-top cans (especially soup or stew), cookies, crackers, chips, and drinks will be gratefully received. You can bring these items on the first Sunday of each month (that's next week!) to the designated place in the main CCF hallway. In an average month, we distribute at least 200 meals to a very hungry homeless population. Those we help are very appreciative; they acknowledge God's goodness in providing for their needs. This is an excellent witness of God's love in action in our lives and the extent of His love for them. If you have questions, feel free to contact John & Marcee Arndt at 909.823.6356 or email at jsarndt53@yahoo.com. You can also contact Melanie at the church office at 909.945.5333 or melanie@welcometoccf.org Thanks and God bless you!

How We Give

Our giving at CCF is done during our Worship Celebration; you will be instructed when to prepare for offering. There are 2 bowls (one in front, one in back) where you can give your tithe to God. The Change the World bowl is in the back of the sanctuary for your offering; those gifts go to support children in Africa and Afghanistan.

Weekly Finance Update

Here at CCF we are committed to using our resources wisely. We have a Finance Team that carefully plans and watches over our finances, making sure that each dollar is accounted for. Each year the team develops a budget to insure that the money given is used to fulfill the vision and mission of our church. Each week we report what is needed to fulfill the budget and what has been received. The vast majority of our resources are brought in through tithes and offerings. It is our hope that each time you view the weekly report, it will remind you to pray that God would continue to provide the resources we need in order to do the ministry He has called us to do.

Beth Shalom's Holy Ark

Beth Shalom is the messianic Jewish congregation that meets in our building on Saturdays. In the back of our sanctuary is a large piece of wooden furniture that is used by Beth Shalom. Many at CCF have wondered what this is and the meaning behind it: The Ark, otherwise called the Aron Kodesh [Holy Ark] is located in every synagogue (Jewish house of worship) in the world and holds the Torah(s) [the scroll of instruction or teaching (Law)]. So basically the ark is a receptacle holding within it the holy Torah and originates back to the Ark of the Covenant which was stored in the Holy of Holies in the ancient Tabernacle and the Temple in Jerusalem. The Ark is usually placed on or near a wall of the sanctuary which is facing Jerusalem. Every [praying] Jew around the world prays towards Jerusalem, and as Messianic Jews we also pray our prayers facing Jerusalem yet with great anticipation of the day when Yeshua (Jesus) will return to the Mount of Olives located in Jerusalem. Maranatha! ["Come, O Lord"] (written by Rabbi Robert of Beth Shalom congregation)
